Spin Modes Explained
Spin Modes control how the wheel behaves when you click the spin button. In Spin The Wheel Random Picker, there are two main spin modes designed for different decision-making styles:
- Normal Mode β fast results with optional multi-winner selection
- Last Man Wins β suspenseful elimination until one winner remains
Normal Spin Mode
Normal Mode is the default spin mode and is ideal for quick, straightforward decisions. The wheel spins once per round and randomly selects a winner.
Auto Pick One or Multiple Winners
In Normal Mode, you can choose to let the wheel automatically pick one or more winners in a single session.
For example, if your wheel contains 10 options, you can configure the wheel to automatically pick up to 9 winners. Each spin selects a unique winner until the selected number of winners is reached.
This feature is perfect for:
- Selecting multiple winners in giveaways or contests
- Choosing several names or teams at once
- Classroom activities and group games
- Reducing the need for manual re-spins
Normal Mode focuses on speed, simplicity, and flexibility while maintaining fair and unbiased randomness.
Last Man Wins Spin Mode
Last Man Wins mode transforms the wheel into a dramatic elimination-style game.
When this mode is enabled, a crown icon appears next to the spin button, indicating that elimination mode is active.
Hereβs how it works:
- The wheel automatically spins multiple times.
- After each spin, one slice is removed from the wheel.
- The process continues until only one slice remains.
- The final remaining slice is declared the winner.
Single Winner Only
Important: The Last Man Wins mode always produces one final winner only.
Unlike Normal Mode, you cannot select multiple winners in Last Man Wins. This mode is designed for suspense, tournaments, and elimination rounds.
Last Man Wins is ideal for:
- Tournaments and bracket-style games
- Team eliminations
- Party games with dramatic reveals
- Competitive decision-making
Tips for Using Spin Modes
- For wheels with many options, set a shorter spin duration (around 5 seconds or less) to keep the experience fast.
- Combine spin modes with Spin Animation Easing to create smoother or more dramatic slowdowns.
- Use Normal Mode for efficiency and multiple winners.
- Use Last Man Wins when suspense and elimination matter.
Normal Mode vs Last Man Wins
- Normal Mode: Automatically pick one or multiple winners.
- Last Man Wins: Elimination rounds ending with one final winner.
Both spin modes use the same fair and unbiased random algorithm β the difference is how the result is revealed.
